Is it possible to delay the automatic EPG update? I disable data on my device during the night to save power/avoid notification noises, and always wake to an "update failed" message.

No, not with the current version.

The daily update is triggered approximately 30 minutes after your npvr daily update time and if there's no connection available it'll simply show the failure notification message. The next time you enable wifi or mobile internet it'll retry the update automatically.

Is it the failure notification that bothers you or the notification sound (I can't remember if I set it so nDroid notifications make a sound).

Cheers,
Brian

There's no sound that I've noticed. It's just the failure message that I need to clear each morning. If it adapts the update time based on the settings in Npvr then I can just change the update time to mid morning when I will most likely have a connection.

Personally it doesn't bother me if I see the failure message when I wake up and my devices didn't have network connection at the update time but obviously I wrote the software and put up with the oddities.

Thanks for pointing this out, I can see it doesn't make a good user experience - I'll probably remove the notification if the failure is due to lack of network connection. I need to do some work on the notification system for future versions anyway.

Just for information, you don't have to clear the notification - the next time there's a network connection and nDroid can update the data, that failure notification will be replaced automatically.

Cheers,
Brian
