"No Show Details" in EPG after Automatic EPG update

I have seen multiple reports of this over the years and various logs have been provided but not been able to find a solution.

I am currently using NextPVR v2.6.2, With UK Freeview, updating EPG with over-the-air 8 day guide. However, every time the daily update job runs, I end up with mainly "No show details" in the EPG, even hours later and/or after coming out/going back-in. Every time I do a manual update via. Settings-channels-epdateEPG, (even without an empty) it works 100%.

Does not matter what time the job runs at.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

I did see one suggestion about unticking "out-of-process recording" but people either reported it not helping or causing other problems??


Alternatively, is there a way to disable the automatic update as I am quite happy to do it manually as and when or weekly. I tried unticking the "auto update EPG" thinking that would do it but it made no difference even after restarting the recording schedule.

Manually tuning to a channel with missing information also fills in the blanks but currently my daily scheduled recordings are failing unless I am able to go in after the automatic job and sort things out.

The auto EPG update timing was updated for 2.6.2 and the option to switch it off went wonky. I switched it of by editing config.xml ...

That said, the over air EPG process should work as an auto run as it does manually. We can have a look if you set the update time on the Misc2 tab and then zip the logs folder and post the zip.
