new to x-newa and problems freezing no audio

HI all;

first of all if I play a live station from regular nextpvr all works with audio and video. When using x-newa and vlc video works, but no audio. In the audio setup of xbmc it says no audio stream.

If I change to something other than vlc Native, direct audio and video work for about 3 seconds and then x-newa locks up and I have to kill the xbmc process.

can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I can look at to resolve this issue? I apologize for the dbl post I made on this topic, but I posted in the wrong area under settings.

The default for vlc isn't great, I recommend ujb's settings as a start http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post445903 and then increase the quality as required.

For other modes Native should be the same as xbmc streaming protocol for live tv. For Time Shift you need to have access to a shared live tv folder, you might need to use advancedsettings.xml to map it right. Direct is for playing around. Upload you client xbmc.log if you want me to see if I find anything.

Hi Martin:

I am still having an issue, so I went and did a reformat and install. Here are the steps that I took.

1 Hauppauge drivers
2 WinTV
3 next pvr
4 newa
5 loaded x-newa

configured driver device for video and audio in next pvr
Same issue..

Using just next pvr I can view audio and video

The min I go to programs and then x-newa configured with native, direct, vlc it don't matter what I use

I go to epg and click on a channel to view and my audio will load for about 3 seconds and then freeze. I get no audio with the vlc

When I press the stop button with mouse, my cursor freezes over mouse button for about 2 min then my screen resets back to epg

I went to your suggest post, but I don't have a transcoding screen anything that I can find that looked like that one. Can you tell me what

I can try? I really like the looks of x-newa and am in hopes to make it work with my system.

Oh I forgot to mention -- x64 win 7 enterprise

Stick with native for now and compress and upload your xbmc.log after the play failure.

That's why it is best to compress them first. I see you are trying a public ip do you have a private ip that you can use or are you trying via the internet?

I have a static ip on the computer with next pvr on it

bound to the interface on computer are both networks.

is 69.85.*.* address
10.250.247.*

traffic is crossing my local router.
