No channels being detected on initial setup

I have what I think is a slightly odd combination for my tv needs.

First, I'm Canadian so my options on what to do are limited.

I have a DIAMOND ATI Theater™ HD 750 USB TV Tuner installed on my main PC (wanted to convert old VHS videos to digital format so I can toss them), as well as the HDHomeRun on my network connected to an antenna.

The USB stick has a digital and analog tuner, so I have a cable line running into it. My Media Centre was able to detect all three tuners, but I don't know how to switch the input between them at all.

What was recommended to my on another site was to use this software for recording (VHS tapes) and for one set of the tuners and WMC for the other tuner. I'm personally not a fan of WMC so I look forward to jumping ship so to speak.

Anyways, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to getting tv on my PC... sometimes "It Just Works" and sometimes it doesn't.

The device listing on the software is:

When I run scans on all of them, I don't find any channels. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, is anyone able to provide me some pointers?

Hi Ackis, if you want to capture video from VHS tapes using NextPVR, then you must add analog support as described here: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ugeSoftPVR

If you're using an antenna for TV, then the only "devices" that you should enable and scan are Type ATSC. [Edit] Plus the one analog device that isn't showing up yet.

If you want to use the HDHomerun with NextPVR, then NextPVR.exe, NRecord.exe and NDigitalHost.exe must be allowed through the firewall.

[Edit] What Windows version are you running? Once channels are found, you'll probably need at least one audio decoder, or possibly a decoder pack, but free stuff is available.
