Hi all,
I don't suspect I'll get much help with my question. Rarely do. But here goes.
All I'm trying to do is tell NPVR to record to a network drive (a server). Read all about why I can't just point to the network drive in NPVR and have it work. Don't understand most of that but it is as it is.
I've read all about sharehelper - and that didn't work although the specific directions are sparse, so I could have been doing something wrong. I put in add share of \\192.168.1.204\PVR, and deleted the line that says add drive, but that doesn't work. There are no usernames or passwords to access the drive
I've read where if I manually adjust the config.xml file for the "Recording Directory" to "\\192.168.1.204\PVR" that should do it. Nope.
I've turned off the firewall on the server and "everyone" has full access to the folder
