Schedules Direct and UpdateEPG.dat

When using the built-in Schedules Direct EPG source, NPVR creates a file called schedulesdirect.xml.

Does NPVR call the UpdateEPG.dat file after creating the XML file, but before loading the XML file into the TV Guide?

I would like to make some modifications to the XML file before NPVR adds the data to the TV Guide.

No, it does not. This xml file is just saved for information's sake. Instead it processing the xml stream as it's downloaded from schedules direct.

To do that, you'd need to be using xmltv instead of the built-in schedules direct support.
