Hello all, dead quick one...
My channels won't change in xbmc client and I remember this problem being resolved under my previous version b using a shared.dll patch.

My question is whether its ok to used that same .dll with3.1.1 or whether they are incompatible. If not compatible, is there a 3.1.1 fix for the channels not changing without a restart of xbmc? Was going to post this n their forum, but saw a previous post from sub asking to post here.... Can upload logs if required.

Thanks,
John

You shouldn't be overwriting your NShared.DLL with an old one from previous version.

Try reproducing the error, then post the logs for me to take a look.

Will do... And thanks for moving it!

switched to channel 3 -wouldn't work.
switchen to channel 5 - wouldn't work.
closed xbmc

Thanks,
John

you have to .zip your log files or they won't attach. sub will most likely want the npvr log folder and also the xbmc log.

I know the ffmpeg in xbmc has trouble with multiple PID and programs and that last stream seems extreme.

I've just experimented a little further.... I opened NPVR - watched a channel, played no problem... changed channel, no problem, changed channel, no problem.

However in XBMC using the NPVR client I can watch the first channel, then it won't switch.

Was there anything that you could gleam from the logs that might hint at a solution?
Thanks,
John

This seems to be the equivalent of what I was experiencing... under 2.6.2 I had that patch installed too... is there an equivalent for 3.1.1??
Thanks,
John
