Hi Everyone.

First time posting here. I will try to provide and explain everything thoroughly. I have used search and have tried various solutions I have found on the forums and in the wiki and just Google in general. I have attached my logs in the requested format. I have all firewalls OFF.

I have a Windows 2008 R2 server running NPVR with the hopes of using it to record and then using XBMC as clients on Ouyas (works really well, btw). I have Time Warner Cable with extremely basic channels. I have my HDHomeRun working through it's app and their quicktv as well VLC. I have tried NPVR and 'Other QAM' in HDHomeRun's software. I have disabled all tuners in NPVR except the QAM. NPVR does see the tuner; scans yield no channels. Actually, when I am trying to scan it just stays on 'channel 1' and never gets further than that. I just click 'OK' and close the window.

Hopefully, my logs have a red flag or two that can help. If I forgot anything, let me know. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Your machine is missing the Microsoft BDA components.

Google "Windows 2008 BDA"

This seems to be "BDA Day." Here's an old thread that might be helpful: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...r2-problem

Thanks for looking guys. I thought I had installed BDA and I had...only I forgot I rebuilt my server since then. I actually had all the files already. I installed it and took a look at those threads. It still doesn't work but now I get an error message when I try and perform a scan. It says: Unable to start device: QAM tuning failed.

New logs attached.

Can you get the SiliconDust software to run?

There is still something wrong with the BDA setup on your machine.

For the record, the SiliconDust app doesn't use BDA, so isn't a good test for whether BDA is working on your machine.

On Settings->Devices, if you've been trying to scan Type HDHR devices, disable those (they're for cablecard) and scan Type QAM devices. If the firewall is back on, make sure NDigitalHost has an exception.

I'll try installing it again but I can't figure out what 'something' is.
