Sub, it seems that I might be able to receive iptv from my current isp, but most channels will be encrypted and npvr's iptv device hav no multidec option. Is it a lot of work to include the option for decrypting?

Sub dropped support for IPTV so that sure seems unlikely.

But the IPTV device is still there? It would be a shame if npvr would not support iptv as this is clearly the future.

To be honest, I have no idea. They probably don't even use DVB encryption on IPTV. They probably use AES or similar with their set top boxes.

It is there simply as a remnant from the past. IPTV is the past, OTT is the future. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_...T_and_IPTV

Their STB's use the same smartcard so definitley worth a try. My provider is about to rip up all the copper and install fiver instead, so then it will be goodbye to tuners, and if so I'm stuck Sad

OTT will never be implemented by my provider(s), it is simply too difficult to control.
