ATI 550 doesn't switch from FM to TV mode

I'm using the ATI 550 analog tuner card on Windows XP for TV and FM radio channels.
With NPVR I can tune TV channels correctly and switch from TV to FM channel correctly.
Once tuned an FM channel, the tuner remains in FM mode if I go back to a TV channel and keeps tuned on the last tuned FM channel.
I can only switch back to TV mode using other software like Chris Tweak, going to the GUI of the tuner.
I don't have this problem with other PVR software so I suppose it's a bug in NPVR.
I hope you can reproduce and fix it.

Please read the sticky thread on top of this forum about how to post logs when you report a problem. Without logs we have no way of determining what is going wrong.

Last I knew npvr had no FM tuner support. So it's not so much a bug as it is simply not supposed to work.

Sub added it back quite a while ago, but I thought it was for Hauppauge tuners only.

Did you stop the radio session before trying to tune a tv channel? The device has only one tuner, so can not tune radio and tv at the same time. Possibly a lack in AnalogDecives.xml?

ok, obviously I was remembering wrong. I retract my comment and submit myself for discipline.

(looks like it was added back in 1.5.28, a rather long time ago. Now that it's been mentioned, I do remember this, and there's a pretty obvious Add FM button in device setup which now realize I've seen many times)

can you report whether this did fix it? I like to have someone say "it worked!" before adding it to the patch list.
