Directv Ir channel changing

Trying to get this set up. I'm a refugee from Snapstream and I bought a colossus to get HD recordings off my DirecTV H21-200 set top box.

However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to get my directv channel lineup and how to change channels using my hauppauge remote (unless there's a way to do it using a serial connection like I was doing with beyondtv.

Is there a guide out there to set up directv with my colossus and hauppauge remote? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm looking at the link, but can't figure out what to do with it. Can you walk me through it. I have a serial cable connected to my directv settop box via a null modem, just like I did with my snapstream BeyondTV setup. I downloaded the directv.exe file from the link shown, and ran it in a cmd box, but nothing happened and I'm not sure how to get it to work automatically with a remote either.

I'd even be happy to figure out a way to use my hauppauge ir blaster or a wmc remote blaster and get it to change channels for now. I'd really like to give NextPVR a try. I do have channel changing working (most of the time) with Windows Media Center for Windows 7, but I think I'd like to use NextPVR instead.

How do most people control their settop box with NextPVR? Is there step-by-step instructions for setting this up? I'm sure there are loads of satellite users using nextpvr. I'd like to be one of them

I think the command line you want to tune channel 5 on com3 would be

directv -port com3 -box D10200 -key 5clear
