New features
* Added the ability to archive files to multiple directories/disks. The archive path property is now used just to indicate the location of the video archive.mdb database. It is no longer used to also specify the archive destination. Instead, the video directories list is used to specify the archive destinations. When you first run the config.exe application and configure the new version of the plug-in, your current archive directory will automatically be added to the list of video directories. Note that this automatic upgrade will only happen if you configure the plug-in BEFORE launching GBPVR. If you first run GBPVR first, you will need to manually add the old archive path to the list of video paths when configuring the plug-in.
There are two archive mode options, set via the Disk Space Settings tab. The default option is âCopy to primary drive firstâ. If this option is selected, the archive process will, if space is available, archive files to the first location specified in the video paths list. If there is not enough space available on this target it will then try the next destination in the video paths list until it finds a destination with enough free space. The second option is âCopy to drive with most free space firstâ. If this option is selected, archiving will be done to the location in the video paths list that has the most free space.
* Tracks recordings that have been viewed and indicates them in a different color and/or with icons. To clear the viewed attribute for a file, select the file and press the 0 key. An upgrade to the new database format will happen automatically the first time you launch GBPVR.
* Displays AVI files in the file list.
* Automatically imports information from MyVideos version 2 or MyVideos version 3 databases when starting up GBPVR. Incremental updates can be performed by pressing the GO key (F11).
*Added ability to select network location for video and DVD storage from the config.exe application
* Updated the GetDVDInfo and GetTVInfo utility to work with subdirectories and shortcuts.
* Exposes the DVD2MPEG function as an optional, separate button. The DVD2MPEG function built into video archiver is an update to that provided in the now obsolete standalone DVD2MPEG plug-in. If you just want the DVD2MPEG function, select DVD2MPEG from the config app and do not select Videos. If you want both button select both. Note that the video archive plug-in can display the DVD2MEG screen by selecting the DVD screen (yellow button) and then the blue button.
* Fixed various bugs, most of which were never reported by users but things I came across. Unfortunately
I did not keep a complete list. If you find something now working, please let me know.
Upgrade Notes
# All of the utilities have been upgraded to use the CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll library. As a side-effect, this means that they now need to be located in the main GBPVR directory. If you have installed a previous version of the plug-in, please delete all the .exe files in the Jeff subdirectory.
# This release includes a complete overhaul of the way skins are done for the plug-in. You will need to replace your skin files to use this release. The major changes are:
* Skins for each screen are now in their own file, which adds some redundancy between files but makes it much easier to understand the relationship between items for a given screen and should make skins easier to create and maintain.
* The orientation of the lists (horizontal or vertical) and the arrow keys used to navigate between lists can now be specified as part of the skin.
* The button description is now set in the skin so that it can easily be changed to whatever language or text you would like.
* More information is now available to the skin, including the runtime, viewed/not viewed status, etc.
