Hi, I was wondering what the expected behavior is for NextPVR when two consecutive shows are scheduled one after another, on the same channel. Let's say we are going with the default padding, start 1 min early and end 2 minutes late. Should the two shows begin and end on time where they overlap, or should two different shows both be recorded simultaneously for about a couple minutes?

Thanks
Chris

P.S. This is with NEWA and NPVR v.3.2.9

Assuming you're using digital ATSC/QAM tuners, then both files will get their padding in this scenario.

I probably should have mentioned that is from a single tuner, it is a cable box (STB) on digital cable, using component cables and going into a single Hauppauge HD-PVR2.

With that type of setup it wouldn't give you overlapping recording, so no post padding on the first recording, and no pre padding on the second recording.

Okay thanks. Then I could go in and cut and join with VideoRedo if the need arises. As long as the pre padding on the first recording, and post on the second recording is still there when this happens, that is good to know.

Thanks
Chris
