I sure wish I could figure out what bizarre magic prevents me from installing either this or reven's app on my BD-FM59C. I keep thinking either a firmware update or a new version of one of the apps will get it sorted, but both have happened and the problem remains. Argh!

Hi johnsonx42,
If you can get my âsamsung app loaderâ running I made two test apps for you to try to install.
They are useless but may give us a hint to why the apps won't install on your device.
First try to install test1 (uncheck all others) and it should fail (it does on my BD-F6500 too). If it fails to install is it the same error?
Then try to install test2 (uncheck all others). That one installs on my BD-F6500 without any errors.
Its a very small app with virtually no code so there shouldn't be much security issues to bark about.
UE40F5500. Installed fine and initially works a treat and looks perfect. Sadly I have one oddity noticed on initial use.
I have one recording I wanted to delete but when I select it from ready recordings and move the cursor down from 'close' to get to 'delete', the "cursor" disappears - more than just not visible as pressing OK has no effect. The only way out seems to be pressing 'return'.
Worse - it does not behave like this on all recordings, just the first I tried!
Would logs help? I'll try more recordings when I get access to the TV again and see if it is just one or more than one recording playing up.

Thanks for trying it out.
Correct, no support thread yet so we'll keep it in here for now.
To be honest I have no idea where the cursor went. The UI-image you see on the screen is generated on the NextPVR server and only displayed by my app. I guess it's some sort of timing error happening on the server generating the UI-image at the exact moment the cursor is moving between two menu items.
I'm not the man to tell if logs would help in this case but they may reveal something. Are there any exceptions happening in the logs at the time?
Related or not - I've experienced that I was unable to delete recordings. I could choose 'delete' but nothing would happen. I reproduced the error using the NMT client so I know it wasn't just my app. Restarting NextPVR services fixed the problem.
thanks the prompt response Fred.
Looks like I won't get access to the TV until the (our) morning.
I will restart npvr and produce clean logs and see if anything stands out.
It wasn't 'delete' in itself that wasn't working, it was more like nothing could be selected when the cursor went missing.

Yes, test1 fails to install with exactly the same error box (which directs me to the samsung developer web page on TV App Security).
test2 installs fine, shows up in the app list as "Redirect NextPVR"; the app itself just shows a blank screen when launched, but I assume it's not intended to actually do anything.
So, this shows the BD-FM59C isn't simply blocking every non-samsung-market app, it will actually install an app if it doesn't object to it.
I then tried both versions of your full app available in the app loader, and those both failed with the TVAppSecurity error.

Great! I might have a solution for you.
I will PM you with details....
