Hi,

A freshly installed Windows 8.1 x64 client is throwing an exception whenever I attempt to schedule a recording from it.

I've installed all the latest patches from the support sticky, but the same thing keeps happening.

Logs and exception text attached.

I can see this in your client logs:
Quote:2014-06-12 22:11:54.249 [ERROR][1] Specified capture plugin not found: NetworkRecorder.NetworkRecorder

ie, looks like you've installed this recorder plugin on your server, but forgot to install it on the client.

Ok, I've had that plugin installed for a couple of years, and I've never installed it on any clients. I also don't currently have any channels configured using Network Recorder, but when I did they played just fine on PC clients. I'm only seeing this error on this brand new client, upgraded from Windows 7 yesterday.

I will try to remove the plugin from the server and see if that helps.

Remember to delete any capture source that refers to it two, otherwise if it's listed in the database on the server, the client and server will try to load it.

I don't think this was to do with the network recorder plugin. I'd made a graphics card change on the server, and I think this led to an IRQ conflict. When I went in to the device settings, 2 of the 4 tuners from by TBS card were missing, as were both from my HVR4400. After rectifying that, I had "database locked" errors and had to restore the machine from an image.

database locked isues are caused by having updateepgduringlivetv enabled.
