Overnight EPG Update Not Finding New Channels

This is the second time I have noticed this.
When New Channels start Transmitting I have scanned and added them, (DVB-EPG left as default) expecting them to populate during the overnight epg update.
On the last 2 occasions, after 2 nights they are still showing [No Program Details] Emptying and doing a manual scan finds them immediately and the overnight update is fine from then on.
This last occasion the manual scan was only 20 mins after the overnight update.

Nothing really springs to mind, but if you can post your logs showing the failed overnight update, I'll take a look.

Here are the logs.
Channel 4+1 HD and Channel 4 7 HD were added 1st July around 9pm. Auto EPG Update is set for 05:15 and didn't find any listings on the 2nd or 3rd July. The Manual MT EPG and Update EPG took place around 06:00 (bit later than I thought) and populated these new channels.
Something must be different between it running from the Recording Service and from it running from NPVR.

One thing that springs to mind - the recording service hadn't been restated during this time.

The overnight EPG update looks like it got and saved listings for these channels:

Yes, but the new channels are Channel 4+1 HD and 4seven HD which don't appear until the manual update in the NPVR log from 03/07 and are now in the NRecord log for today's Auto Update.

For some reason the Auto Update doesn't know new channels exist until a manual update has taken place.

I can't think of any reason this would be needed, or any difference a manual update would make, but I'll test it when I'm back in NZ. At least you've got a fairly easy work around.
