renaming channels / renumbering

hello!
just wondering whether changing channel names or the number of a channel will affect recordings already scheduled, or when you rename / number them, does some check take place to update that new info in the scheduled recordings database?

Scheduled recordings actually reference the underlying channel id, which isn't changed when you rename or renumber your channels, so you're typically fine to do this.

The only time it can cause problems is if you've trying to reimport your recording setup from recurring.xml, and it cant find the channel names referred to. Very few people ever have to do this though, so probably not a concern.
