No Video\Audio when view live tv - HomeRun with NPVR

I am using a Homerun Dual with NPVR. Win8.1

I can view video\audio perfectly when using the homerun QuickTV software. I am able to scan for all my channels via NPVR. When it comes time to view live TV, a temp file is create properly and debug info displays stats as if video is streaming, but I see no video and hear no audio.

Any suggestions?

If the temp is created, but stays at zero bytes, then it'll be firewall blocking data from HDHR to NDigitalHost.exe/NRecord.exe and you'll need to add firewall exceptions.

The bytes of the temp file are increasing.

nextpvr doesnt include any video or audio decoders you need to install your own then select them in settings

In the U.S. you need to select decoders for MPEG2 video and AC3 audio. (If that's a transcoding HDHomeRun, then you also need H.264 video.) There have been reports that the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder can be used when running Windows 8.1, so try selecting that in the MPEG2 Video dropdown list on NPVR's Settings -> Decoders page. If there is no suitable MPEG2 decoder already installed, then you could install Hoborg's SAF6 decoder pack (request "unlocked" version). If you already have a suitable MPEG2 decoder but can't get audio with any installed AC3 decoder, then install either AC3Filter or LAV audio decoders (both free downloads).
