Is anyone looking at this - If I buy a LCD TV at some point (Or likely OLED by then) I'll probably go Samsung but I recently got a 65" Panasonic plasma and I LOVE the picture on it - I'm gutted Panasonic are ditching them but by the latest reviews some of their newest IPS panels look pretty promising.

Is it at all likely that a NPVR client might be developed by someone here for Panasonics? Their media playback capabilities are pretty good and it'll throw 99.9% of downloaded videos I throw at it, not sure on the development options for their smartTV platform though.

Intel i5-4440, 4096mb DDR3 Ram, Windows 7 Pro
2 x Hauppauge Nova-T 500 (2 out of 4 of these I've bought works! Great QC Hauppauge!)
1 x Hauppauge hvr-2200 and 1 x Hauppauge Colossus
500gb Seagate for O/S
2 x 500GB SATA3 WD Black in a Windows Stripe for recordings
All hidden in the garage with an Intel i5 NUC and a logitech Harmony one remote in the lounge for playback.
Panasonic 65" 2013 GT Series 3D plasma

Hi mobiusnz,
The Panasonic Smart TV seems to be based on webkit with support for html5 and Javascript.
In theory both mine, and I guess revens app, would run on your Panasonic with small changes to the code.

An annual fee of more than $100 to access the Panasonic developer portal makes me less interested though.
If you or anyone else is interested in doing some developing and adapting my app to Panasonic I’m happy to share the code.
You would just need to add a single Javascript file where the remote mapping and interfacing of the media player is happening.

/Fred
