Comskip for h.264/NZ Freeview

Anyone got this working? I haven't played with comskip since the MPEG2 DVB-S days.

Looking for creating comskip files to potentially reencode recording files (so they can be loaded in plex since that's a bit crap for skipping defined periods).

Have to use payed version which works pretty good (better than it works on the sd dvb-s mpeg stuff)
I haven't really done any tuning to make it better.

If you are having issues in plex what's your reception like maybe you have bad time lines I find plex not to bad at skipping( not my main playback method though)

No, not having issues in plex apart from the fact that you can't skip by a defined period (1 min, 2 mins). Got so used to the nextpvr 1 min skip that it's hard to use other media players that dont have this ability.

Did you just generate the EDL and use Nextpvr to skip, or did you reencode the video with a script?

I just use the play button skip rather than auto
So yes edl file for NPVR to use
Never really tried the transcode and cut option (did have a play with mce buddy for my sons cartoons so I could play on iPad while away but they had no adds so didn't require comskip)Just set it to monitor folders
