NextPVR is now working, but it only opens up in full-screen mode and I am not able to exit full-screen mode. The box marked start in full-screen mode is unchecked. I have not changed from the default screen layout. I have tried pressing the home key when in the main menu, with no effect. I have done a search, and I have not found any other reference to my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ctrl-Enter maybe?

Do you see the titlebar/frame when you press Alt-Enter?

No, the screen goes blank for few seconds, and then returns to the same screen that I had before. No title bar.

Yeah - good point, he might have set it to 'VMR9 FSE' which is always fullscreen.

maybe in the registry HKCU\Software\npvr\Position and/or HKCU\Software\npvr\Size are set to something really weird? maybe delete those values and try again?

(that is, if it's not the VMR9FSE thing)

That was it, it did not occur to me what the "FSE" Might mean. I was just trying to find a decoder that would give me a picture during playback. All other decoders left me with a blank screen. I guess that's another issue I need to address.

Thank you.

You're probably best to leave the video renderer set to EVR, and just experiment with the video decoders (most likely MPEG2 video decoder in the USA).
