NEWA, Safari Browser on Mac, Live Channel

It appears this does not work in Safari, or, Firefox on Mac OSX? Clicking on View Live in the guide opens a new browser window, but, it's basically blank and never shows up. No controls even. Have VLC. LAN, not remote.

I can open it on the newa machine itself via localhost link and it does play.

Is there a trick to getting it to work non windows, or, is that simply not supported?

View live requires the VLC browser plugin to be installed on the client...do you have it installed on the Mac's? Are the OSX machines on the internal network or external network (i.e. trying to access outside of the home network)?

Plugin is installed for FireFox and Safari. Both internal gigabit network, wired.

Ok... have you opened the ports on the server (i.e. set a rule in windows firewall to allow traffic on the ports). I have an inbound rule to allow these ports: 7648, 8866, 32400, 8790, 8791

No firewall is running. I can play the channel directly via the url it refers to. But, it does not play via the plugin. It appears the vlc plugin is currently a test version as it is not packaged with vlc and is only available to download on the nightlies site.
