Wrong AC3 Audio Stream Again

Hi Sub,

I think this old problem has returned. (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...io+channel).

Several of our cable channels have their AC3 audio streams reversed. The English language is on track 2 rather than track 1. I can manually reselect it, but it resets each time it skips through a commercial. I have checked the language settings and they are all set to eng.

There was a patch to NPVRTSReader2.ax in December 2012 which fixed the original problem. I believe it set the language by its name rather than track number. I tried it in ver 3.8, but it isn't compatible and causes a crash.

The logs are attached. I can also provide samples of the videos if you need them.

I put a short chunk from last night's football game on Dropbox. This was on NBC, one of our major networks. Funny, the commercials are always in English on both audio tracks. I can send more or longer samples if you need them.

Looks like this thread could use a friendly bump. I played the chunks via Videos menu and got track 2 (English) by default - but it so happens I'm running an older version of NPVR, so your opinion that there's an issue with 3.3.8 could be correct for all I know. Are you quite certain that you have these settings in Config.xml?

Are you guys quite sure that the lang. setting should be 3 letters, ie "eng" and not "en"? I remember having trouble with my epg language some years ago, it was set to "nor" but in the xmltv file it was "no", so I had to change the setting in config.xml to "no" for it to work.
