Hi!
I've never had a problem getting guide information for BBC NEWS HD, but it's suddenly stopped.... Doesn't matter if I select DVB/ATSC EPG or FreeSat EPG in the nextPVR settings... it doesn't find anything... any ideas!? I'm receiving the channel via freesat in the UK.

Thanks,
John

sub, maybe you should add some logging to nextpvr so that when users have a problem, they can reproduce it and then post their logs. like in this case, haverer2 could set his channel back to Freesat EPG, then run an EPG update; if NextPVR created an NPVR.log showing the EPG update process, he could then .zip it and post it. otherwise we just have to guess at what's going on.

just an idea.

And perhaps YOU should read the sticky thread before posting a problem.... :p

I HAVE, thank you!

I read it before I ever posted my first thread, and I've just reread the entire post now, to check I've not missed something in an update of that sticky.

I'm afraid YOUR post isn't very helpful to me, as it doesn't indicate which part of this I've not not-read, but not understood.

I want to be as helpful / supportive in my posts as possible, so perhaps you could outline clearly what you didn't like about my post.

Thanks

Could it be that Reddwarf was referring to the bit about

my understanding is that this info isn't included in the logs - hence the above reply wondering whether extra logging could be added.... perhaps you are right though.... who knows!

Johnsonx42 has (in my opinion) a wonderfully dry sense of humour... with that in mind, maybe try re-reading his post...

Then recreate the problem and post your logs... Smile

;-) Great stuff... thanks :-) Now that I understand that I can see that there would be a point!!!!!! I'll try doing an update again and look at the logs myself for any clues... if still stuck, I'll post them.... didn't realise that any non received EPG might be in there.

Cheers
