As mentioned in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-the-world, the Schedules Direct guys are enhancing their service to include listings from a wider set of countries.

To make using the service as smooth as possible with NextPVR, they're wanting to collect information about the DVB channels people are using. At this stage they're particularly interested in Freeview and Freesat in the UK.

To help them out, we'd like to collect a few channel export files. You can create these in NextPVR on the Settings->Devices screen, by selecting your device, then clicking the 'Export Channels' button. This will make an xml file, with tuning information about the channels you've found. Zip this file up, and post it.

Thanks!

Thanks that's perfect.

If we could get a Freeview channel export from a couple of other areas of the UK, that would be really helpful.

Thanks for all the responses. Please send me your postal code via private message so that I can correlate things. (Since I don't live in the UK a lot of the place names don't mean anything to me.)

Since I don't know what constitutes a "junk" channel, can you give a few more details about what you mean? Is it difficult to get a scan that includes everything? (That way, the next person that adds the lineup doesn't have to fill in the gaps.)

But since this is just an information gathering project right now then a partial is still OK.

Thanks.

Would a dump of the OTA EPG capture information (for all Freesat and Freeview channels) in xmltv format help at all?
