Downloaded 3.4.8 and have full video but no audio and no OSD icons for controlling audio. WMC works just fine which doesn't say much.

ZIP log attached I think?

What do you mean "no OSD icons for controlling audio", there has never been OSD controls in NextPVR, that was in the old GBPVR. You need to use windows' audio controls.

But I take it you have no fix for the fact I have NO audio at all---do I have the correct?

Have you set up Audio decoders in Settings->Decoders? If so, post logs and a screenshot of that settings screen Smile

Yeah missing audio will be related to the decoders you have selected.

The Microsoft audio decoder is intentionally knobbled by Microsoft to only support MPEG1 audio in 3rd party apps, so you'll need to pick a different AC3 decoder. (being in the US, you're probably using AC3 not AAC)

Download and install/select AC3decoder or LAV.

Isn't the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio decoder supposed to be blacklisted for AC3 on Windows 7? I thought it was, but it re-appeared a release or two back. The MS video decoder is blacklisted for MPEG-2 video on Windows 8/8.1 as it should be.

(that said, the OP's screenshot doesn't really look like Windows 7. looks like XP, or more likely MCE2005 since XP definitely did not have those DTV-DVD decoders... I haven't seen an XP system in so long I've practically forgotten what it looks like.)

In any case, get AC3Filter and set MPEG-1 and AC3 to use AC3Filter, leave the others disabled.

Or simply select LAV Audio Decoder in the AC3 dropdown list, since you already have it. (However I'm using AC3Filter like johnsonx42.)
