Does that mean we could now use native NextPVR parsing for EIT data from the DVB-T stream?

I hadn't see this. Yes, it sounds like you'll be able to use native EIT parsing for Freeview DVB-T in NZ. It might need some minor tweaks to support the NZ huffman tables.
