Realmagic Xcard (em8475) Kodi support

Hello !

I would know if it exists a support for this decoder card on Linux and/or Windows ?

If yes, how to setup Kodi to use Xcard instaed of standard vidéo card ? (incuding remote through com port)

The Xcard has a very good RGB output and I use it on a scart TV. I currently use XBMC with a XBox 1, but this one starts to have insufficient power to read x264 encoding. I would replace my old XBox 1 by a HTPC with XCard as video output to keep RGB quality on my CRT TV. Sometime I can switch to HDMI out to use this HTPC on a video projector.

It was good 10 years ago and I think that card only was supported in the GBPVR.exe client, which was two versions ago! (PVRX2 and NextPVR) That doesn't really answer your question Kodi devs would need to support it for playback in Kodi. Also I am not sure you can get current win32 drivers and Kodi doesn't support XP.

This forum is all about getting NextPVR to work with Kodi. You may not find anyone here who can help with getting Kodi to work with your video card.

Edit: Silly me ... I should have known that this is the forum that lets no question go unanswered. Is it only me that suspects that Martin might be a machine with a brain the size of a planet?

Nope, sorry. A earlier incarnation of our software did support xcard, but we dropped support for xcard years ago. To be honest, it's really dated now, and not up to the task of modern playback.
