dealing with tv scraper in Kodi and missing channel logos

I have used MCE for some years, using a third party program to download TV logos. I have tried pointing to that folder but I still don' have any TV logos.

Also, I have been given a thread to look at, http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=195467 is this still valid? Seems like a lot of work to get something so obvious to work!

you don't need to use the imagegrablite renaming utility. NextPVR now names shows in the SxxExx format, if you check the box in Settings->Misc (or Misc2, I forget which).

I don't know how Kodi handles channel logos.

Not necessary well if that London is in the UK. There are some ambiguase cases where iGL is still required too, ie Shameless, The Flash etc.

thanks for adding that Martin, I hadn't noticed that the OP was in London. (which I do think is safe to assume is the UK one)

the built-in SxxExx naming uses only the EPG data which may not have that information in the UK. iGL looks up the show on theTVDB.com (and perhaps other places?), and does a better job of distinguishing between different shows with the same name.

I tried using it with a batch file to run post process but it crashes each time. Do you have a guide for using it? I find the recordings have no info about the episode.

IGL writes log files to the NextPVR logs folder ...

The batch file itself runs under the same system account that is used by the NextPVR recording service and doesn't output to the screen. You can use pipe commands to send the batch file commands screen output to a file.

Seems to all be working now, getting the correct names and some fanart appear. I also moved my recordings to the "Recorded TV" folder and removed the link to the other folder. I have less folders now when going to "Files" which looks more tidy.
