Does anyone know if it's possible to get the 7 day Sky EPG OTA?
I have a number of FTA SKY channels which pickup the Now & Next EPG from their specific channel frequency but like for Freesat, I'd like to capture the 7 day EPG for those channels.

EPG Collector should be able to get it - or Allan Birttles Radio Times Grabber from t'internet
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Thanks,

I knew it was possible with third party software but I was hoping there was a way to do this using native NextPVR as I wanted to avoid the complication of mixing NextPVR gathered OTA EPG with importing xml gathered with a 3rd party utility (and the potential clash of NextPVR and the other software all wanting access to the same SAT tuner.

I've used the Allan Birtles software previously but couldn't get EPG for all the channels I wanted.

I'm prity sure Sub would have to add that capability - and could be reluctant to do it due to sky's T&C's

If I were going down the Sat route (have thought about it) I would have EPG Collector do all the EPG updates (Freesat Sky & Freeview) at 4 or 5am then possibly enhance the xmltv file then update NPVR. - or maybe Schedules Direct has the channels you want?

I'm intrigued that Sky's Ts & Cs may inhibit you downloading the 7 day EPG for personal use especially for the Free-to-Air programmes. I would have thought it would work similar to Freesat on a specified frequency. The individual channels get their Now & Next on their own frequencies but not the 7 day list. Is EPG collector so much different than NextPVRs functionality?

I much prefer to keep things simple and using NextPVR for the whole collection of EPG rather than the complexity of external progs and scheduled batch files.

If the standard DVB EPG is present, it'll load up those listings. If it's not, then they're probably doing something non-standard. I could add support for it if it's nothing too different, but I'd need an example full transport stream so I could take a look.

Does anyone know the transponder frequency/orientation on which the SKY EPG is broadcast?

OK Sub, now the Astra satellite moves seem to be settled, I've confirmed the frequency of the UK/Europe SKY EPG.
What do I need to do to capture a full stream for you? How long a capture do you need?

Best to use TSCapture from http://www.tscapture.com, and just capture a 1 minute full transport stream. The eval version of TSCapture lets you capture a minute without a license.

No point in doing that for a couple of weeks though, since I'm not able to look at it right now.
