During playback when you move the mouse the "timeline" bar appears. It would be nice to have a "button" you could move the mouse pointer over and a click would jump the program forward. The amount of time jumped forward would be something you could preset. I.E. 15, 30, 45, 60 seconds or more. Nice way to get past commercials. I know you can click in the timeline in advance of the moving bar, but this would be more time accurate.

If you press the skip key (Ctrl-RightArrow), it'll jump forward 60 seconds. You can prefix it with a number to jump that many minutes. ie 4-Skip will jump 4 minutes.

Ctrl-F will jump forward 10 seconds.

Well that is just Purrrrrfect. Thanks. If that is in the "manual" I sure missed it. Only been involved with this type of TV recording for a short time. I am finding it very interesting.

You can also click anywhere on the timeline and NPVR will jump to that spot in the recording. Smile

Yes, I stated that in my first post.
I have another "device" that also does OTA recording, but it has shown several errors where Nextpvr has been working very well along with the Schedules Direct for the guide.
I will keep reading......

Hi,

This is working for me, but I do find it to sort of stutter - when skipping forward / back, jumping on timeline, or skipping commercials (comskip info). Is it just me? It does hiccup for ~ 3-5 seconds, to very noticeable ... Sad.

Thanks!

Might be related to the decoders you're using.

That makes sense. I just checked - using LAV Video and Audio decoder. Any comments on this? Do you have a suggestion of a better one? I'm definitely up for changing it, just not sure what is better / best.

Thanks!
