Live Tv and audio in W10

Hi everyone. I Have upgraded to W10 from W7, but the application NextPvr does not have audio or live tv functions. In W7 it worked great. Will it work in W10? deanie44

it will work in Windows 10, but I am not a big fan of Windows 10, to many things have been removed. Personally I think you are much better off keeping your Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1.

It definitely works- I currently have it running on 6 win10 PC's. Make sure that you check the decoder section for audio and video. In each case I needed to re-select the appropriate decoders for video. In one case I need to re-install the audio driver for it to work, but the other 5 had no audio problems out of the gate.

Keeping Win7 is a fair option, but IMHO, Win10 is a much better option than Win8.1. In fact the Win8.1 PC's were the first ones I upgraded and no regrets!

Thank you everyone for answering my post. I Have a X64 machine. Could that make a difference? I have tried all the decoders and nothing seems to work. I do have warning that the DirectX runtime is not installed. Software rending will be used. Does that makes a difference? Any assistance will be helpful. sister5091

No. x64 machines are fine. That's what most people are using these days, and is what NextPVR is actually developed on.

Try watching live tv, then zip and attach your logs and we'll take a look.

This will just cause the menus to not use any animations. It wont effect live tv.

Hi sub. I cannot find the log files for nextpvr. Where are they hidden in windows 10. I do not like windows 10.I record shows on Thursday night. Can I downgrade to W7?

They're in c:\users\public\npvr\logs.

Yep, looks like decoders are your problem. You need to head to Settings->Decoders, and make sure you've configured which decoders you'd like to use.
