Trouble setting up next pvr

I trying to setup next pvr but I cant figure out how. The tv video is coming to the computer through S-Video but I don't find any option for S-video in next pvr.

Have you got a Hauppauge card? These are generally required for analog support. As soon as you install the Hauppauge WinTV software, the analog device will show up in the Settings->Devices screen.

If you've got some other manufactures card, you might still be able to get it working. See the analog section in the sticky thread. (ie, need SoftPVR components + AnalogDevices.xml update)

I started reading for analog and after what I read, I think I need soft Pvr. The problem is, it dont let me install it because I dont have wintv card or something like that. Almost! I installed SoftPvr and I see it in devices list after updating AnalogDevices.xml. I choosed SVideo, but when I go to live tv, I hear the audio but the screen is black.

That's probably down to the MPEG-2 video decoder you've got selected on the Settings->Decoders screen.

I cant select any MPEG2 Video decoder, the only option avaible is Disabed.

NextPVR doesn't include any decoders (since they cost money to legally distribute), so instead it just lists the decoders you already have on you machine. In your case, it sounds like you don't have any MPEG2 decoder, so you'll need to install one. Maybe try ffdshow, or install the software that came with your tuner (since it'll most likely install an MPEG2 decoder).

Nevermind, I am using nextPvr as tv server for kodi and in kodi, it is working perfectly. Thanks for all the help.

Now I have a hard time finding a good software to download a tv guide. Else they are not for Windows, I don't find documentation for installing them or Norton identify them as virus. Also, do I need to import the file for tv guide once I have it in NextPvr or Kodi?
