musicbox4 - won't scan

Hi I have musicbox on my server and it works fine but I've now addd it to my client and pointed it to the NAS and it won't scan - it flashes up the scanning progress box which vanishes immediately.
Any ideas scan from a client fails? or should I point it to the musicbox database that is on the server?

After the scan, so you have a MusicLibrary.db3 in your Plugins\Musicbox4 folder on the Client?

In any case, it would be useful if you posted your logs after trying a scan...

There shouldn't be any difference MB4 isn't client server. Here's the latest version just in case there is a bug.

Tried on Win 10 32-bit with Npvr 3.5.7. Also having problems scanning.

Are you running the installer while NextPVR open perhaps. The database is supposed to get created on start up.

Martin: No, NextPVR was not open when I did the install.

Alex: Yes, the MusicLibrary.db3 file is created, but 0 bytes.

Also, If I go to Collections/Paths, select the path and click 'Edit', I noticed the root path is checked, but none of the subfolders. Do I need to manually check all of the subfolders? Is it not recursive?
