Duplicate Recordings

I have a problem with duplicate recordings which show up at random for various recording schedules. The recordings, all copies, are all made successfully and labelled -0, -1, -2 etc., - sometimes as many as 10 copies! This started when NPVR was transferred to an SSD but this may not be related.

There are three examples shown on the schedule screen grabs (Pending & Pending2). Also included is the relevant XML file in which I cannot see duplicates as well as the NPVR log where they can be seen. Can someone help?

For those duplicate pending recordings, can you hit the 'update epg' button, then post your npvr.log?

How many entries do you see listed for the affected shows when you select Recurring from the left menu in TV Recordings?

I have tested this with before and after "Update EPG".

An example screenshot of "Pending Recordings" shows that the update added one scheduled recording to the example. The example is from an entry in "Recurring Recordings".

Once again I can see only one entry for the recording in the XML file.

It would appear that for (a) certain recording type(s) duplicates are added each time the EPG is updated, - BUT only in certain circumstance as some of the same "Recurring Recording" are unaffected.

I can't see the actual EPG update in those logs.

Can you just start NextPVR (so the logs are starting from scratch), go to the Setting->Channels tab, then hit the 'Update EPG' button, wait for it to complete, then post the npvr.log?

Duplicate Recordings

Actually that's exactly what I did. The new log is in the "folder duplicates-0925" in the "after" sub-folder but I am posting it again separately. It begins:

The date and time shown are indeed after the EPG update.

I think I understand now. I restarted NPVR after the update. I will do it again and not restart after updating.

Hmmm, looking at 'Mayday' in the logs, it doesn't look like it's scheduling duplicates.

Do you see the same thing in the build it Recordings screen instead of TV Recordings plugin?

I think the recording time may have passed also for certain examples I have given you.
