In NPVR, I can subscribe to the Event notifications to determine when a video launched from my plugin has finished playing. Is there a way to do this in the (X-NEWA) web client since it does not seem to fire this event? Basically, I would just like to refresh my plugin screen when it "returns" from video playback. Thanks.

webclient playback is not tied to the media playback API sub would problem need to add some functions for start and stop.

Unfortunately it doesn't know when the video playback finishes when it's watched via webclient, so there is no way for me to send notification.

NextPVR tells the webclient to start playback of a particular file, but isn't really involved in the playback from them on, and doesn't receive any notification from the webclient on progress, including completion or stop. We might be able to ask the webclient developers to add something to let us know when playback completes, but there isn't anything currently for this.

No problem if you add something. I was thinking just sending ctrl-s but that would cause havoc in the recording screen.

I might need to introduce a new notification url that webclients can call to let the app know about various events occurring.

That would be great. Hopefully you can also consider adding something to enable passing metadata about the file to played to be displayed in Kodi's OSD as discussed here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post494267
Thanks.
