While trying to delete a failed recording, I get an Underhanded Exception Error. It says something along the lines of cannot cannot to 127.0.0.1:8968. I just upgraded yesterday.

Thank you.

This sounds like the recording service wasn't running. Check it's started.

It seems the service crashed again. I also get an error, slightly different in the MISC setting screen. I restored the original config.xml installed with 3.5.7 and so far it is working, still with errors in the settings.

It there any advise on how to do a clean install, and restore and get back up quickly with all settings back in place?

NextPVR stores everything in npvr.db3 and config.xml in the data folder ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...alledParts

But, if you are getting errors ... it may be that something has gone haywire with the content of config.xml. What errors are you getting?

I am getting the error:

Parameter name: Value

What setting are you trying to change on the Settings->Misc screen?

I think you've edited the config.xml and set <InactivityMinutes>1000</InactivityMinutes>. Put it back 100 and it'll let you into that screen. Valid values are 0-100.

Editing the config.xml and putting in invalid values will lead to problems.

I had not edited config.xml, but I did a clean install and redid the config file. Everything runs better. I had to manually delete the service in the registry. I think it was too many upgrades for me. Thank you.
