Hello all,

I have just switched to windows 10 pro 64bits . I'm running NextPVR 3.5.7 and I have problem switching channels. If NPVR is not hung, the channels switching can take up to 20 sec (or more) Sometime the delay is ok (2-3 sec) but most of the time I receive this message : The tuner your were using was required for a recording....

I'm using Hauppauge WinTV 2250 ATSC tuner with Schedule Direct subscription and the Main concept mpg2 decoder. I've tried everything...I need help now...

(btw, the channel switch work really well in the Hauppauge WinTV 7.2 software)

thanks in advance to all.

The same issue I have had for a few months now. I made the register patch and set the value to 2, and the channels are much faster for me. Here is the thread. My system works fine with Media Center and Win TV 8 and even Jrivers media center. Still the hang issue if you are watching a channel and selecting the same channel off the EPG listing, it hangs, but otherwise much better performance for me.

Thanks for your reply Barry10 but it doesn't seem to change anything! I Also tried a patched version found in another thread with no success...

before I upgrade to Windows 10 ( was on win7) the delay was between 1-3 sec....

I have exactly the same problem (10-30 secs. from SwitchToStream@3 to SwitchToStream@4).
Tried LogSlipFile in the Registry but no change.
Channel change time varies randomly but often very slow.
The problem is on the client side, cause server is perfect with Kodi as a client.
Really don't know what it is, but at least I'm not the only one that has it (so that maybe it's easier to find a solution).
Bye,
sdf

I did not notice on which stream the problem occur , but like you it is random.

I will also try with kodi to compare and I will post my results here.

Big difference with the kodi client. Channels changes in 2-3 sec. So it seams related the move client. That's weird because I didn't have this problem on win 7
