No Sound

Hello, hope someone can help me. To my surprise, Kodi on my PC works very well with NextPVR. However, I can't get the sound to work for love or money. I've tried all the codec settings in NextPVR, but it's still silent over at Kodi. NextPVR is fine with no problems. Is there anything obvious I haven't done? I can't see it myself.

Have you selected the correct "Audio Output Device" under Settings >System > Audio Output? HDMI, SPDIF, Analogue etc.

Playback is all upto to kodi(if using kodi for playback) so its in kodi where you need to look
This is assuming there is a audio track which can be tested with vkc player
