Why is it that when a recording runs out there is the delete question, but when a video ends it just goes back to showing the folder it is in?

Most video player software does not offer to delete videos. NextPVR did not create the video (usually) and does not consider itself to be responsible for deleting something that it did not create. However, there is this ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ced#toc166

OK, that is a good reason. NPVR says, "I did not make the mess, so I am not going to clean it up."
They are recordings made by my FTA receiver. It would just be a little more convenient to have an "auto delete" instead of going to the folder and deleting from there, but no big deal.

Thanks Alex, That was in my config file but since I use the remote for almost all functions with Next I did not know it was up in the hidden mouse commands.

The home key on the remote will also bring it up.

sub Wrote:The home key on the remote will also bring it up.Home key while watching live TV made the picture small and brought up the main menu. When watching a video that was recorded elsewhere, it did the same thing. When pressed a second time the hidden menu showed up. This I am sure will be very useful. I will have to "teach" my Flirc a new command. Thanks.
The Home key is context sensitive - it does all sorts of different things depending on what you are doing at the time you press it...
if you are in Videos, with a file/folder selected and with nothing playing and then you press Home, you will see the 'hidden' menu... Alex EDIT: actually, there are lots of keys which are context sensitive... Have a look here - the Home key can also be referred to as Info or Menu...

Yes, in the WiKi it shows the Home key is a busy key. For as many times I have looked at the WiKi, I am surprised I missed all of its uses.
