NextPVR Plex plugin, no live TV

So I can play recordings back, but cannot play live TV in either Firefox, Chrome or on Android Plex Client (those 3 being the only ones I have checked).

In Firefox I get this error: "Cannot load M3U8: No levels to play".

Plex server is Windows 8.1.

Any Thoughts?

Plex plugin? or the channel in plex (sorry confusing I know). I'm assuming the channel.


I just tried mine (via the internet - plex.tv). I'm on Windows 10 for nextpvr with the latest one. And when I look at the plex channel its listed as 0.3.1 (look in the preferences).

There's a log file in the plex logs directory for nextpvr, have a look in there for any errors.

I am on Channel version 0.3.1 as well.

Have you tried one of those playvideo links in a browser and see what happens?

Also what version of nextpvr?

Next PVR is 3.5.7.

When I put the URL in a browser, nothing happens. Either on a remote machine or on the same machine that has Plex and NextPVR on it.

The URL's for artwork though return perfectly.

Hmm I wonder if your nextpvr service is blocking it? Can you try this on the machine with nextpvr on it? It should do something (I just can't remember what), bring up a video window I think.

Yeah when i put in one of those playvideo urls, firefox comes back at me with a opening live dialog box giving me download/opening options.

Check your firewall etc is set up? Although if you're getting images I can't think why one would work and not the other.

I did it on the Nextpvr machine still nothing.

I will say I get a different error when nextpvr is not running "This webpage is not available" vs a blank page and eventually an Error_connection_Reset.

When I play through the web interface it will work and launch VLC from NEWA, from Touch I get a broken graphic.

Firewall looks to be fine.

As an FYI, my Roku will not play the live stream either.

Yeah so I'm not picking it's the channel, but anything talking to the live service. Have a look in the nextpvr logs and see if there's an error that corresponds to when youi're attempting to watch. Maybe I'm posting something wrong to the API now?
