Software Engineer is one of the job titles of I've used in the past, so that is probably the best fit from that list.

Plus with many MANY lots of years of experience programing PVR software..... It never fails to amaze me how he can foresee problems arising way-WAY out on a branch of some new thing he has introduced long before they have a chance to arise......
