With the recent changes in meta data downloading in NextPVR I am considering dropping public support for iGL, Sub has changed some of his special character matching and downloads a lot more art which isn't currently used and I don't plan on using meta downloading it because it clogs up Media\Shows so I won't be able to keep on top of it. Let me know if iGL continues to work for you with 3.6.6 and I can consider updating it, but iGL will still work better with Kodi Plex in some cases.

Feedback appreciated.

As far as I know, IGL is still the only option to create nfo files for Kodi, so please continue support on your excellent software!

When you say sub has changed character matching, what are you referring to? I find only iGL works for pretty much all shows (as far as the previous version was concerned anyway).
- Silent client PVR: HDPlex HS.1 aluminium fanless case / Thin-ITX ASRock H81TM-ITX motherboard / Intel Celeron 1850T CPU / 4GB RAM / 120GB SSD / TBS6982 DBS-S2 [SIZE=1]dual-tuner card / Win10+nPVR+Plex Media Player feeding LG OLED55B6V + Anthem MRX510 AV Receiver / PMC GB1 / B&W / REL speakers.
- Noisy NAS: Xeon / Intel mobo / 16GB RAM / FreeNAS + Ubuntu VMs on VMware ESXi + 12TB RAID

The recording folder names that sub creates are named differently then the meta data for the show when some characters ie. ' and & are involved.

In that case, I'll just stick with the previous version and iGL. It just works, and the new version of NPVR brings no new features that I can use.

After reading this back when NPVR 3.6.6 was released I uninstalled igl and started using Subs Metadata downloader. (without Schedules Direct support)
I am now regretting that decision and have now reinstalled the latest version of igl I could find. (Forum Post)
Main problems with the meta downloader are no ifo files which are needed for the New Recordings Screen Menu for multi episode programs (single episode programs use the xml file in Media/Shows) - Although Sub still recons the description comes from the db.
Other problem is bogus artwork - it seems to want to give cartoon, 60 year old film or foreign language program in preference to the correct artwork.
I'm sure it works fine for schedules direct subscribers.

Please keep Image Grab Lite Alive if you are able Smile

It's going to take me a week to Garbage Sort the Media Shows Folder Sad

Also thinking of installing the Searchlite Plugin for the first time in years (back when NPVR didn't have a search facility)
Can Searchlite and igl work side by side?
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

At this point I personally see enough merit in keeping iGL going for my own use that it will be around for a little while. I will keep an eye on what sub is doing and may eventually drop it. Yes SearchLite and iGL can be used together but I have never taken the time to make a common DLL that is probably what I need to do to reduce the effort on my lightly used plugins.

This is great news, Martin, thanks. I'm finding only iGL does the job I need for my Plex server.
