I usually check the overnight EPG update by checking the NRecord.Log file. I attached a small portion of the log.

I am wondering why the log takes on an "unformatted" look for hundreds of lines before reverting back to a nice neat formatted listing. Can you tell me why this happens? It seems to be normal because is happens all the time.

Thank you.

That's the raw response from Schedules Direct. It logs this if there is any error/warning messages from Schedules Direct.

In this case you've got some:
Code:
{"stationID":"80810","serverID":"20141201.web.2","code":7030,"response":"SCHEDULE_NOT_IN_LINEUP","programs":[],"metadata":{"code":7030,"message":"You have requested a schedule which is not in any of your configured lineups.","modified":"1970-01-01T00:00:00Z","md5":"CAFEDEADBEEFCAFEDEADBE","startDate":"2015-12-24"}}

ie, it's saying you've got some channel setup, which are not in any lineups you have currently associated with your account, so these channels will get no listings.

OK, thanks.

If I look at my TV Guide, is it safe to assume that any channels not showing "normal" information have this problem? Do you or your contributors have any utility to help better identify the problem?

Yes, I'd say so. If you see a channel with no listings, go to the Settings->Channels, right click the channel with no listings, select details, then make sure the mapping is correct - it should only list the channels associated with your Schedules Direct lineup, so as long as your choose any of these channel mapping options it should correct the issue.

OK, good.

Final question, if I may: I cannot seem to find the "hook" that NPVR uses to identify what channel a raw response "stationID' refers to. Can you tell me what it is? I'm having difficulty identifying what lineup channel is causing the not-in-schedule error. If Schedules Direct is being asked about a Verizon channel that SD has no data for, I need to tell Schedules Direct. Yes?

(PS-Hope NZ had a good holiday. NE USA was nearly 70! Crazy weather!)

Unfortunately the UI doesn't show you which stationID the channels are mapped to.

Yes, SD would be the people to correct any issues with the data. In general you'd be able to tell them (for example) you're using lineup USA-OTA-29072, but not getting any listings for channel x, y, z, identifying them by channel number and name, and they'll be able to confirm at their end.

That said, you may want to see if you can resolve it first, incase the lineup has changed, but the channels are still there, maybe using a different stationID these days. ie, if you've got a channel with no listings called HGTV, view it's settings and see if you can find a channel lineup in the dropdown called that. Reselecting the mapping like this should be enough to get rid of that error we saw in your logs. After an 'Update EPG' the listings should show up for that channel. If not, try contacting SD.
