This morning I look at tonight recurring recordings and found that one show (Les pays d'en haut S01E03 EP02335746.0003) was not scheduled for monday night.

Looking that the recurring recordings, the show is now scheduled for Tuesday night :confused:
Yesterday night that show was scheduled for Monday night.

I see this behavior from time to time on monday morning, some shows are scheduled for the day after instead of the correct day. This is not something introduced with 3.6.6, I have seed this for a year at least.

Not a big issue when you check your recordings every day, you cancel the recordings and reschedule it. Might be a bugger when you are not attending your recordings daily.

I have included the xml and db3 file in the zip file

Your recurring rule #515 at the time of the automatic EPG update (NRecord.log.2) was set for Tuesday, and that's the rule that was written to the recurring-backup.xml. However that rule is not in your database, and you have a new rule #537 in your database which is now is set for Monday, and there are two scheduled recordings for tonight and next Monday based on that rule. Clearly you deleted and re-created the rule before posting.

If I look at previous recurring-backup.xml files (.1 and .2), the same rule #515 is in fact set for Monday but the rule itself is written in a different format.

Modified TUESDAY version of rule 515:
Code:
<recurring>
    <oid>515</oid>
    <name>Les pays d&apos;en haut</name>
    <matchrules>
<Rules><EPGTitle>Les pays d'en haut</EPGTitle><ChannelOID>7151</ChannelOID><ChannelName>CBFT-DT</ChannelName><StartTime>2016-01-12T02:00:00.0000000Z</StartTime><EndTime>2016-01-12T03:00:00.0000000Z</EndTime><PrePadding>0</PrePadding><PostPadding>1</PostPadding><Quality>0</Quality><Keep>0</Keep><Days>[color=#FF0000]TUESDAY[/color]</Days><TimeslotStart>2016-01-12T00:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotStart><TimeslotEnd>2016-01-12T03:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotEnd><RecordingDirectoryID></RecordingDirectoryID></Rules>
    </matchrules>
  </recurring>

Original MONDAY version of rule 515:
Code:
<recurring>
    <oid>515</oid>
    <name>Les pays d&apos;en haut</name>
    <matchrules>
<Rules>
  <EPGTitle>Les pays d&apos;en haut</EPGTitle>
  <ChannelOID>7151</ChannelOID>
  <ChannelName>CBFT-DT</ChannelName>
  <StartTime>2016-01-12T02:00:00.0000000Z</StartTime>
  <EndTime>2016-01-12T03:00:00.0000000Z</EndTime>
  <PrePadding>1</PrePadding>
  <PostPadding>1</PostPadding>
  <Quality>0</Quality>
  <Keep>0</Keep>
  <Days>[color=#FF0000]MONDAY[/color]</Days>
  <TimeslotStart>2016-01-12T00:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotStart>
  <TimeslotEnd>2016-01-12T03:30:00.0000000Z</TimeslotEnd>
</Rules>

I've seen this format change before, it happens when you update the rule in certain scenarios. What exactly did you do to the rule yesterday, and from where? I suspect it will have to do with a timezone issue... the program is scheduled for Tuesday UTC, but Monday local.

The only thing I did yesterday was to change the pre-padding from 1 to 0 minute, as well as changing pre/post paddings on recordings on the other channels to be sure to get 5 completed show. And I also got the NPVR Recording services hang that I reported in my other posting.

At noon today when I saw the change to Tuesday, I deleted the recurring and recreated it.

As for Timezone, both PC are sync via NTP with my firewall.

Here is the xmls from 20160123 04h17m

Did you update that recurring recording from the client or from the server?

I can't reproduce this here, neither from server nor client. Unless sub pops in and says he sees where it's happening, you'll have to detail your exact steps to make it happen.

Gee exact steps :eek: that is impossible to remember. To reproduce it one might need to modify the recording, wait for the EPG update and see what changed, not very easy to reproduce.

One thing I know is that until about 2am the recording was scheduled for Monday,
this morning at noon it was scheduled for Tuesday. EPG update at 5h30am. it ended at 5h39am.

Like I stated before, this behavior happens from time to time at the beginning of the week, as if the passage from Sunday to Monday shift some recordings by one day. Sometimes it is a show on Wednesday or Tuesday, this time it was a show on Monday. I don't remember modifying every show that shifted either, so this might happen on it's own without any modification of the show that is shifted. This happens about once a month.

It might also be caused by TV Listings plugin.

I can manage this as I am normally home every day to check and correct.

I'm pretty sure there's no possibility that this is happening by itself. There simply is nothing in nextpvr that can change a recurring recording rule without you doing something to cause it. However, now that you mention TV Listings, I'm going to throw alibert under the bus for this one! Wink

I hear you, I make new recordings every day, change some, etc. So there is always something ( me on the client) making modifications to the recordings. It's almost impossible to find which one at which time because of the Client flooding the log on the server.

Could it be possible to send the client player events to another logfile to prevent Nrecord.log rolling over?

So checking my recurring recording again today and I found many that have skip a day.

911 Is on Friday 20h30-21h00, doesn't show to be recorded
Go see the Recurring recordings, it is presented as being on Saturday 20h30

Same for :
Market Place Friday 20h00-20h30
Série Noire Friday 21h00-21h00
CBC News: The Fifth Estate 21h00-21h00

All scheduled for Saturday evening.

I go to TV Recordings Recurring, delete 911, rescheduled it for Friday evening
TV Listings show it to be recorded every Friday now

Back to Recurring, I notice SQ 20h00-20h30 is not scheduled for Saturday, however in TV Listing / TV Guide it is presented a to be recorded on Friday !!!!

I copied the db and the logs at that point.

I do no remember making any change to those recordings this week.

Next step is to delete all of them and recreate them.

Cleaning up the recordings I found Enquete also shifted by one day!
Same with Wednesday Les beaux Malaises.

I think i found the culprit, it looks like changing Pre Padding in TV listings from 1 min to 0 min shift some recordings by one day !

I made another copy of the logs, xml and db3.

https://www.sendspace.com/file/bpmceq

I will try to use Recordings instead of TV Listings to make future modifications to recordings.

That is one feature I like about TV Listings is that it allow you to make modifications to the recurring recordings from the Listings. Something TV Guide doesn't provide.
