Channel Mapping

Hi,

Having a heck of a time with channel mapping - likely me, but any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm finding that I have a lot of channels that are in an SD and HD version, just on different channels (as seen by my Hauppauge card) - but having mapping issues in NextPVR, they are showing up on top of each other on the same channel.

Thoughts?

Where are the channels from? ATSC/QAM or somewhere else?

Nope - all from cable card ... but FIOS offers two versions of many channels (SD, HD ... for example - CH 90 = NBC Sports in SD, 590 = NBC Sports in HD).

Make sense?

If you open a browser and view:

http://<ipaddress>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected

where <ipaddress> is the ip address of your HDHomeRun, do you see the correct channel numbers there?

Yep! That's pretty cool actually ... ;-).

And it may be me, I admit that! The channel mapping thing is a bit fuzzy. Is there an easy way to try to make sure the mapping is happening right, and I'm not just being stupid?

The channel numbers it used should have matched the ones provided by that list. ie, it should just be using whatever numbers the HDHR said the channels were.

That makes sense. Is there a way to tell it to "start over" - in other words, clear out what it has, try again? BTW, to make sure I'm not saying this wrong / confusing you ... they show up right under Devices, it's under Channels / EPG that it's broken. I let it bulk map, but that didn't seem to work.
