Hi Sub,

Just updated NPVR from 3.6.6 to 3.7.7 and had 2 recordings cut short on 6/30. Code Black (10-11pm) ended after 3 min and The Late Show (11:35 - 12:37) ended after 27 min. Both are on the same OTA channel (WUSA-DT 9.1).

I had previously updated to WIN10 on 6/21 and hadn't noticed any problems with 3.6.6. I updated NPVR on 6/28 by overwriting (not a clean install) and just noticed this. Logs attached.

Thanks for your help,

emr

I have the same problem. My recording last 1 minute and 9 seconds, then quits. Last night my code black recorded for 8 hours and did not end until I shut NextPvr down. Over 60 gig!

I am looking for easy way to go back to 3.6.6, which work well for me.

Sub,
It looks like most of my recurring recordings are cut short. The Late Show on the 28th was 27min 30 sec almost exactly the same short time at the one on the 30th. Miss Marple was 1 hr instead of 2. Manual recordings seem to be OK. I'm also using Schedules Direct.

Barry,
I've found the best way to restore an older version is to make a full copy of the NPVR directories before updating. There are 2, one in the users/public/NPVR and one in program files (or program files (x86). Then if you have a problem, you can copy them back. You may have to rerun the older NPVRSetup file to re-register the program, but it will restore all your settings.

If you create a c:\temp directory, do you get a c:\temp\crash.mdmp file created when one of these recordings is cut short?

Every time the file is created in the c:\temp\crash.mdmp Attached are the log files. I copied all of the files from c:\user\public\nextpvr\logs into the temp directory to zip them including the crash.mdmp file.

Thanks

There was an old crash file in C:\temp from last year. I removed it and will look for anything new. The Late Show was again cut short, at 27m 31s, remarkably almost the exact time as the 2 previous ones (27m29s & 27m30s. Nrecordlog shows it ending normally at its scheduled time, 37m past midnight.

One more thought, this recording seems to end around midnight. Could there be some connection to the time transition?

Thanks for the help. Was able to un-install 3.7.7 and re-install 3.6.6 using your procedure. Recordings are working again. Some recordings of 1 hour shows were recoding for 8 hours was filling up my SSD. Can't believe I am the only one having this issue.

Yes. It happened again last night with The Good Wife which started at 11:35 pm on 9.1 (the same time and channel as The Late Show). It was cut short at 27m 31s. There was a crash.mdmp generated at the time. The file and logs are attached.

Due to a decrease in the WAF, I'll need to restore 3.6.6 for now. Let me know if there is anything else I can test. Thanks for all your help.
