Attempted to read much of the documentation. Using a Hauppauge WIN-TV DCR 2650. All systems lights are green. Worked swimmingly on WIN7/WMC, but WIN10 upgrade has been a pain. When I scan the channels (the Hauppauge shows up), no channels are detected. Really frustrating. Am sure it is something simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Appreciate in advance for your patience. I do not code, but have been around computers for 30 years and these types of hurdles drive me batty.

Thanks

When it comes to the DVR-2650, NextPVR looks for the channels list at a special url:

http://<ipaddress>/lineup.xml?show=unprotected

You can open that in your browser to see what channel list your device is giving to NextPVR. When you try it in your browser, what do you get? (replacing <ipaddress> with the ip address of your DCR device)

What cable company are you with?

Don't forget that WMC is able to view and record some copy protected channels that NextPVR (and other DVR software) is not able to view and record ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy_Control_Information

My understanding is that NextPVR (et al) are only able to view and record "copy freely" channels.
