Can't change a channel in Kodi when watching

When watching a channel on Kodi with a Next PVR backend, I am unable to switch channels without first stopping the one I am watching. This is a new issue I am experiencing and I am not sure if the issue is with Kodi, NPVR or my own problem Next PVR was recently updated to the latest version and I updated to the latest Kodi Alpha build at the same time. When I attempt to change the channel in Kodi I can see Next PVR changing the channel on my server, but then it stops sending any video after a few seconds. Kodi shows the Nexp PVR message "Tuner no longer available". If I hit Stop in Kodi then select that same channel it works every time. Attached is the log file from kodi along with npvr logs. Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone had a chance to look at the logs? I'm wondering if I need to file a kodi bug for this issue. Updated to their latest nightly and it is still occurring.

I'm out of town on holiday at the moment, usually with only access from my phone. If you want to bump the thread in a few days, I'll be back in NZ and will take a look.

Does turning off time shift help? I have noticed a lot of logs with the stop not working.

Turning off time shifting in Kodi add-in settings seems to have corrected this issue. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help troubleshoot this further. I'd love to help you guys get to the bottom of it! I miss my pause button already.....

Is this issue not affecting anyone else? I feel like I'm having all types of issues with new NextPVR and the alpha builds of Kodi that no one else is complaining about. Is it really just me?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're using alpha builds of Kodi?

Brettb you may be correct but it is also leveraging NextPVR addon in Kodi, hence my impatience If you read my opening statement I'm open to it being a Kodi bug, Nextprv bug or even my own silly setup. If it is just Kodi being a turd then it will hopefully get fixed up in the development cycle. If it is being a turd in Kodi due to the NextPVR addon not working correctly, that would need to be corrected before a final release by Sub I believe, or we are stuck with said turd. Either way I would like to help get to the bottom of it so the responsible party can make the fixes and we can continue to enjoy the Kodi/NPVR integration with the next release. In it's current state, time shifting is not an option if you wish to change channels within Kodi.

I was responding to the parts stating "Is this issue not affecting anyone else?" and "Is it really just me?". I don't think that many users of NextPVR are going to be using alpha builds of Kodi--at least not on any sort of regular basis. So it does not surprise me at all that there aren't other people reporting having problems with it.
