I recently had an HDHR OTA tuner go bad and I replaced it with a new HDHR Extend model. The problem is now I see duplicate channels in the guide. Also in DEVICES I see a pair of tuners that say DCR2650/HDHR Prime.
This is a replacement tuner and can only do OTA.

What do I need to do to combine these are clean up the guide. I have my channels set to schedules direct channels so I hope to not have to reassign them again.

BTW-I tried to upload logs, but I get "Database error"

IT sounds like HDHomeRun software thinks you still have the broken HDHR OT that you replaced with the new Extend. I think if you can delete the existence of the old HDHR in their software that will make your NextPVR problems go away.

Hope you got the brand new Extend version and not the old discontinued one.

I just got it from amazon, so I hope it's a new version.
The other tuner I deleted and have rebooted more than once but the problem is still there.

I've not used a HDHR Extend, so not intimately familiar with them.

Regarding old devices still showing, this is a known bug in the HDHR software. Their software continues to load drivers for old devices now longer present. There has been a couple of posts about this in the past. ie, each time you go to the Settings->Devices screen, NextPVR askes windows for the list of BDA drivers available, and these devices are still in the list. I seem to remember you need to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them or something like that - there was a thread about it on the SiliconDust forum. ie, SiliconDust bug, and nothing to do with NextPVR.

Even with the old devices still listed though, if you delete the channels associated with those devices, this should get rid of any duplicate channels.

You could always do an export of your recordings, rename npvr.db3 to npvr.old, then restart the app to start from a nice empty database, then setup your channels again, then reimport your recordings.

Regarding the HDHR Extend, does this device have ATSC/QAM devices listed on the Settings->Devices screen, or just the 'DCR2650/HDHR Prime' entries?

I have the old Extend (with a fan) and it does show two type HDHR DCR-2650 tuners but Present=No I do have two devices in the HDHR table but nothing showing DRI.

It's not clear to me - does it work for you or not? I know people have certainly been use the HDHR Extend with NextPVR in the past, and I couldn't think of any reason it wouldn't work now.

Yes ATSC works as always and when transcoding is enabled the service types change.

Do not want to get too of topic. The new HDHomeRun Extend (released 08/2106) is fan-less with a new metal case. Suppose to have some minor hardware improvements. There is some talk that an upgrade kit will be available for existing Extend users.
